Lonzo Ball refutes reports of ‘can’t even get out of his chair’

Chicago Bulls guard Ronzo Ball, who is recovering from a knee injury, refuted reports about him.

Ball tagged ESPN columnist Stephen A. Smith’s account on his Twitter account on the 23rd (Korea Standard Time) and said, “Next time, come and check the real source. I’m not a person that I can’t get in touch with,” he said along with the video.

In the 16-second video, Ball sat on one foot in a chair and then stood up and said to Smith, “Where’s the source? Please tell me you don’t know. I like you. I’ll be back!” he exclaims.

The reason Ball protested by demonstrating himself like this is because of what Smith said on ESPN.
Commenting on Ball’s injury, Smith said, “I don’t think he’ll be the same. He said that he is having a hard time getting up after sitting in a chair.”

Ball, as if conscious of this remark, announced that there was no problem by directly sitting down and standing up from the chair.

Ball shouts that he will come back, but the situation is not easy. Ball suffered a meniscal injury in January 2022 and has not played since.

He underwent his third knee surgery after an injury in March. The upcoming 2023-24 season return is also unclear.

When healthy, Ball was a good player. The second overall pick in the 2017 draft, he recorded 11.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.6 steals in 252 NBA games.

After agreeing to a 4-year, $80 million contract with the New Orleans Pelicans in August 2021, he transferred to Chicago in a sign-and-trade manner.
